I hate having JW parents.
by reneeisorym ini'll try to make this long story short.. in october ... about 3 days before i left for a trip my mother decided to have my cell phone cut off.
i've had my bill in my mom's name since i was 16 and have always paid it since i was old enough to work.
but .. out of pure spite, she cut off my phone.

Anyone from London? Help

this is not my first trip to london, but i've never been to stonehenge and my wife really wants to go.

One of the main reason why I want to visit, is I want a picture of mean in front of Stonehenge with a white cape over me, and send a copy of the photo to all my JW family, I like to do stuff like that to piss them off. Thanks for all your imput, I think yes one day should be enough, its always nice to get some local help for planning a vacation, OK now I booked a hotel near Paddington Station, any cheap places eat near by?

What kind of "real" Christian lets the kids do Halloween?
by lovelylil inas you all know we have been out of the tower about 3 years now.
i am still a christian but my hubby thinks of himself more as an agnostic.
anyway, my son who is 12 asked if he could go trick or treating with my nieghbor and her son just to try it as it never has - and i said it was up to him to decide.

Funny I was just talking to my grandma about this yesterday, she said "its just a day for kids to have fun, and as long as no one gets hurt let them have fun and get all the candy they want" (my grandma is catholic, she doesn't like the way JW's go way over board on stupid things. My grandma is awesome!!!!

I never did, but I was turned in many times for example: having a worldly girlfriend, accused of having dirty thoughts about breasts from some chick in the hall, practicing witchcraft, drug use, associating with worldly friends, celebrating birthdays, and being a bad influeance on other youth in the hall. The using witchcraft one was funny, the story is that it was my friends birthday so I wanted to buy her some cool stuff, so I got her some black candles, incense, sparking apple cider, well the check out guy was a JW boy from the hall, he told the elders that I was buying witchcraft stuff.

Hate mail from jws
by dedpoet inhi, i rarely post on this forum nowadays, as linda (fullofdoubtnow) tends to do the posting from this house, but i decided to post this myself.
i am currently building an information website for local ex jws, along with a couple of ex jw friends, and recently received a couple of emails from a current jw who, according to him, stumbled on the site by accident, although it clearly states that it is an ex jw site.
he found an article i had written on jw child abuse policy objectionable, although everything i have written, both in that article and the rest of the site, is verifiable, which i told him in my reply.

Carla, You actually do not need to be rich to use the media, in the area I live in there are 3 really great free ads, some you can put up to 150 words, other method you could try is if you live in a smaller city and have a local paper contact the editor, most have a section where they post letters from people, respond and sometimes investigate. I have always thought using the media is a great way to be heard.
